Paige Ciolino is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She earned a Master’s of Education (M.Ed.) in Counselor Education from the University of New Orleans. Paige has experience in school and community settings working with individuals and families.
At BHCC, Paige focuses on providing individual counseling to young adults and adolescents struggling with behavioral and emotional concerns. She also provides coaching to individuals who desire accountability and support in reaching their personal and professional goals. Paige has a passion for working with individuals struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, ADHD, relationship difficulties, and personal growth concerns.
Paige utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is an approach that is collaborative, active, and goal oriented. CBT is evidenced-based and known to be the most effective approach for coping with anxiety and depression. Thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are explored to better understanding the client’s concerns and to help develop solutions for an improved life. Paige helps individuals develop the skills to identify and adjust unhelpful thinking patterns that contribute to negative emotional and behavioral responses. Other interventions may include expressive arts, play therapy, and relaxation techniques.
Paige offers in-office and Walk and Talk Therapy sessions. Walk and Talk sessions take place at local parks or walking trails, and incorporate nature and physical activity into the therapeutic process. This alternative approach offers many potential benefits including mood and energy improvements. Imagine walking in nature, breathing in fresh air, talking through your concerns, and moving towards your goals.
