PARENT-CHILD INTERACTION THERAPY
Behavior management program designed for young children experiencing behavioral and/or emotional difficulties
Personalized Therapy
PCIT, or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, is a specialized behavior management program designed for young children experiencing behavioral and/or emotional difficulties and their families. In PCIT the therapist works with the child and caregiver together to improve behavior and reduce parenting stress.
The PCIT therapist will teach caregivers to manage their child’s difficult behaviors, while increasing their positive behaviors. PCIT is considered an evidenced-based protocol because it is backed by over 30 years of research.
