Alicia W. Engelhardt, MA, PLPC
Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor
Alicia Engelhardt, MA, PLPC, is a provisional licensed professional counselor in the state of Louisiana. She received her Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings and populations. Her areas of interest include relationship issues, parenting challenges, infidelity, depression, anxiety, and life adjustments.
Ms. Engelhardt considers each client unique and tailors her therapeutic approach to the client’s needs. She believes that the counselor and client work together as a team to facilitate personal growth. When working with couples and families, Ms. Engelhardt encourages open communication as a cornerstone for effective change. Additionally, she integrates various counseling modalities into her practice, including emotionally-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Ms. Engelhardt is a member of the American Counseling Association, The International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, and serves as a board member on The Louisiana Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.
